Valentine's Day - Gifts for Him

I always find that men are the hardest to shop for; my girlfriends are the most decisive and direct, each of them stating exactly what they want for any occasion where gifts are appropriate. This leaves zero room for failure on their partner's end. Men on the other hand, don't leave hints, and many just say "whatever you think," when asked what they want. Here are ten awesome gifts that any guy would be lucky to get on Valentine's Day. Two of my personal favorites are the tobacco pipe scented candle, which doubles as decor, and the monogrammed wall mount bottle opener. I also love the Batman cufflinks, which add a little fun to more formal attire! I find that receiving a pair of shoes can be very romantic, especially a pair as nice, comfortable, and versatile as these Nikes. (One year I asked for new Chucks and couldn't have been more excited!) Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours! May this list of goodies make it easier to shop!

Valentine's Day - Gifts for Her

BODY CREAM Jo Malone | HEART SOCKS Kate Spade | LOVE SHIRT Color Bear | ROCKSTUD BAG Valentino | HEART BANGLE Kate Spade | OVAL EARRINGS Kendra Scott | CANDLE Diptyque | PERFUME SET Tory Burch | HEART JUMPER Ily Couture | LIP SCRUB Sarah Happ | STUD EARRINGS Baublebar | STUDDED CUFF Alex Bittar

Getting your significant other something for Valentine's Day shouldn't be difficult, but ever year, my brother seems to stress over the perfect gift. His girlfriend never asks for anything specific, but he likes to add a little something special to already gorgeous bouquet of flowers that he buys. Based on my own experiences, and the input of some of my girlfriends, I came up with twelve items, products and accessories, all at different price points to take some of the guess work out of the perfect way to say, "I love you" to that special lady in your life (even if it's your best friend or your mother!)

There's no need to have a significant other to get some of these goodies...who says a single girl can't gift herself on Valentine's Day? You better believe that this chick has added some of these pieces to my own list. It's equally if not more important to love yourself, too!

Is there something specific that is on your wishlist for Valentine's Day this year? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for stopping by....come back soon! Happy Valentine's Day!

Suede Over the Knee Boots, Winter White and a Leather Jacket - Fashion Friday

Tie Neck Top HERE and HERE | Drape Front Jacket HERE and HERE
Skinny Jeans HERE | OTK Boots HERE and HERE | Gucci Belt HERE and HERE

I own a few of these adorable tie-neck blouses. They are super versatile in that I can wear them to work, to dinner, on date night, wherever. Another thing I love is that the tie acts as a built in accessory for when I don't feel like wearing any jewelry. Forever21 is a major go-to for these, as linked above.

Who's excited that it's becoming more acceptable to wear white after Labor Day?! *Raises both hands* I have some great pairs of white jeans, like these, that I usually wear as often as I can between MDW and LDW to get the most for my money, and this winter, I feel a huge relief knowing that I can still wear them without getting the side eye! I'm a sucker for Paige Denim, and these fit perfectly!

Y'all know I am slow to latch on to a trend, so the OTK (over-the-knee) boot was one that I was skeptical about, especially since I'm already on the shorter side (5'4".) I thought that the boots would cut me off at the knee and make me look even shorter. I waited a little while before taking the plunge and purchasing a pair, but OH MY GOODNESS, I love these boots! I honestly feel like I look thinner and elongated whilst wearing these, and who doesn't want that?!

I am always on the hunt for a great bargain, and I love sharing when I've found one....I hit the jackpot on these boots. They are originally priced for just under $200, and I got them for around $80 at DSW.  I was surprised that I had size down [[I normally wear a 7.5 but went down to a 7]] but just be aware of that when ordering!

This Helmut Lang jacket was a gift quite a few years ago, but I find myself wearing it more and more each year as I try to pair it with different outfits. I have found some similar ones and linked them above for you!

The Gucci belt is the same one that I have raved about previously in this post so I'll keep it short and just say, I love it.

Do you have a trend that you were slow to follow but love? Tell me about it in the comments! Thanks for stopping by and happy shopping!

Camo Tank, Open Cardigan, Riding Boots - What I Wore Wednesday

'Versatile' is the first word that comes to mind when I think of this waffle knit sweater. I purchased it last year and have been able to wear it to work, to lunch with my girlfriends and even with my athleisure. It's thick, comfy, and warm. I've said before that I love neutrals because you can mix and match them in so many ways; that's especially true for this outfit.

This tank top was bought as a joke over the summer to tease someone I know, but I ended up really liking it! Target is my "go-to" for layering pieces like this tank top. Their women's section is full of options and they're super affordable, which we all know is very important to me!

I have invested in another pair of Free People jeans because I love my first pair so much! The dark wash of these skinnies is super slimming and the stretch that they have makes them comfortable enough for all day wear.

This Gucci belt was listed as part of my 2016 Favorite Purchases and that holds true into the new year.  My Sam Edelman Penny riding boots were mentioned previously in this post. I purchased my first pair of riding boots in college and I am so happy that it is a trend that has come to stay! There are so many colors and styles but this pair I'm wearing is currently on sale and linked above.

As far as accessories, it's the same old tried and true jewelry (My watch and Dogeared necklace are on major SALE!) with one new designer inspired cable bracelet that I "borrowed" from my dear mother....thanks, Mom!  This one was purchased through our family jeweler but my favorite David Yurman one is linked, as always!

Heart Patch Elbow Jumper and 90 Degree by Reflex Athleisure - What I'm Wearing

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you're having a great start to your week. I'll keep this post short and sweet, getting right into all the outfit details:

I've said in previous posts that I love the leggings from 90 Degree by Reflex. I feel like I get a lot for my money and I'm not spending a ton on clothing. I have paired my favorite Power Flex Yoga leggings with this adorable jumper. I sized way up (with a large) in this sweatshirt because the small was child's size, and the medium just wasn't baggy enough. The heart patches on the elbows are a cute detail and pretty much what sucked me into buying this piece.

As per usual lately, I am wearing my Forever Link sneakers; I've been living in these recently. You cannot beat the price for these sneakers, and they come in lots of different colors and patterns, so fun!

My make up today was super simple, as it's cold and Finn and I could barely bring ourselves to leave the warmth of a down comforter this morning. My every day make up routine will be updated soon as I've made some slight changes but for now, try the link below!
