Criss Cross Sweater and Over the Knee Boots - What I Wore Wednesday

SWEATER HERE & HERE | BOOTS HERE | JEANS HERE & HERE | BANDEAU HERE | MAKE UP HERE | NECKLACES HERE, HERE and HERE | BRACELETS HERE, HERE and HERE

Just when I thought we were in the clear from Mother Nature's winter wrath, a cold front swept in. I went to dinner this past weekend, and put this outfit together without much thought (if I'm being totally honest.) To my surprise, my girlfriends gushed over it. This sweater has been a great addition to my winter wardrobe. It is super soft, thick enough to wear without a jacket and has the cutest criss-cross detailing across the back. If you don't have a low back bra, simply use a bandeau; the ones listed below are reasonably priced and can be used with so many other outfits. I've jazzed this look up a bit with my favorite over the knee boots by Marc Fisher and as per usual, I am wearing my trusty Paige denim. I didn't wear any jewelry with this outfit, simply because I didn't feel like it, but you could definitely pair it with a beautiful long necklace or some decorative bracelets. I've linked those ideas above and below as well. Comfy, casual, and cute are how I would describe this outfit; I'm loving it.

Suede Over the Knee Boots, Winter White and a Leather Jacket - Fashion Friday

I own a few of these adorable tie-neck blouses. They are super versatile in that I can wear them to work, to dinner, on date night, wherever. Another thing I love is that the tie acts as a built in accessory for when I don't feel like wearing any jewelry. Forever21 is a major go-to for these, as linked above.

Who's excited that it's becoming more acceptable to wear white after Labor Day?! *Raises both hands* I have some great pairs of white jeans, like these, that I usually wear as often as I can between MDW and LDW to get the most for my money, and this winter, I feel a huge relief knowing that I can still wear them without getting the side eye! I'm a sucker for Paige Denim, and these fit perfectly!

Y'all know I am slow to latch on to a trend, so the OTK (over-the-knee) boot was one that I was skeptical about, especially since I'm already on the shorter side (5'4".) I thought that the boots would cut me off at the knee and make me look even shorter. I waited a little while before taking the plunge and purchasing a pair, but OH MY GOODNESS, I love these boots! I honestly feel like I look thinner and elongated whilst wearing these, and who doesn't want that?!

I am always on the hunt for a great bargain, and I love sharing when I've found one....I hit the jackpot on these boots. They are originally priced for just under $200, and I got them for around $80 at DSW.  I was surprised that I had size down [[I normally wear a 7.5 but went down to a 7]] but just be aware of that when ordering!

This Helmut Lang jacket was a gift quite a few years ago, but I find myself wearing it more and more each year as I try to pair it with different outfits. I have found some similar ones and linked them above for you!

The Gucci belt is the same one that I have raved about previously in this post so I'll keep it short and just say, I love it.

Do you have a trend that you were slow to follow but love? Tell me about it in the comments! Thanks for stopping by and happy shopping!
